ELMM BIBLE STUDY HUB

Privacy Notice

Last updated 1 October 2026 (version 2026.10.01)

This notice explains in plain words what information the app keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it. You can see, download, or delete your information yourself on the My Account page.

1. Who we are

Eternal Life and Miracles Ministries (ELMM) runs the ELMM Bible Study Hub. We decide how your personal information is used in the app, so we are responsible for it under data protection law. Our address is Igbotako, Okitipupa Local Government Area, Ondo State, Nigeria. You can reach us at omotan87@gmail.com.

2. What information we keep

  • Your account: your name, email address, reading language (English or Yoruba), and a password. Your password is stored in scrambled form by our sign in provider, so nobody on our team can read it. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name and email address.
  • Your study activity: notes you write, sections you bookmark, lessons you mark complete, the place where you stopped reading, the devotion days you have read, and the days you used the app (used for your streak).
  • Information kept on your own phone: lessons saved for offline reading, your reading settings (language, text size, and theme), and a copy of any notes or progress waiting to be sent when you are back online.
  • Technical information: our hosting and database providers may record your IP address, device type, and browser when you use the app, to keep it secure and reliable.
  • Team activity: when a member of our team publishes or changes content, the action, the person, and the time are recorded.

We do not collect your location, your contacts, your photos, or any payment details. At launch we do not use advertising or tracking tools. If that changes, we will update this notice first.

3. Why we use it

  • To create your account, protect it, and let you sign in.
  • To save your notes, bookmarks, and progress so you can use them on any phone.
  • To show your reading streak and your devotion days.
  • To send account emails, such as confirming your email address or resetting your password.
  • To keep the app secure and working properly.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising. We ask you to agree to this notice when you create an account. You can withdraw your agreement at any time by deleting your account.

4. Who we share it with

We use trusted companies to run the app. They handle your information only to provide their service to us.

  • Supabase, which runs our database, sign in, and file storage
  • Vercel, which hosts the website
  • Google, only if you choose Continue with Google to sign in

When our team translates lesson text into Yoruba, the lesson text is sent to an AI translation service. Your personal information and your notes are never sent. We may also share information if the law requires it.

5. Where your information is kept

Our providers may store information on servers outside Nigeria. We use them only to run the app, and they protect information with security measures.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and your activity until you delete your account. Records of team activity are kept so we can see who changed content, and they stop being linked to a person once that person is deleted. After you delete your account, copies may stay in our providers’ backups for a short time until those backups are overwritten.

7. Your rights

In the app, open More, then My Account. There you can change your name and language, download your information, and delete your account. For anything else, write to us at omotan87@gmail.com.

  • See the information we hold about you.
  • Correct it.
  • Download a copy of it.
  • Ask us to delete it.
  • Object to the way we use it, or ask us to limit it.
  • Withdraw your agreement at any time.
  • Complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

8. Children

This app is meant for people aged 18 and over. A younger person may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian, who should read this notice with them. If you believe a child has created an account without permission, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Keeping it safe

Each member can see only their own notes, bookmarks, and progress. Connections to the app are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, so please choose a strong password and keep it private.

10. Changes to this notice

If we change this notice, we will update the date above and tell members in the app.
